New Safety Guidelines

Due to recent events, the following procedures have been put in place to protect our clients and staff. We appreciate your cooperation and invite any feedback or ideas as we define this “new normal” together. Our job is to make sure that your crew and clients are well fed, comfortable, and safe!

Protective Equipment

We have added protective equipment to our kits to ensure maximum safety and hygiene. Hand washing stations, cover guards, hand sanitizer dispensers, individually wrapped flatware, and one-time use wet napkins will be a part of every service.

Procedures

Masks and medical grade single-use gloves will be used throughout the day. Gloves will be changed out with no more than fifteen minute intervals. All sanitizing solutions will consist of a measurement of 50 to 100 parts per million, maintain a temperature of 75˚ - 100˚, and will be changed out every two hours.

All items will be offered in individual, single-use packaging. Items will be placed unstacked on the table and a server will assist crew and clients with any needs. This will minimize contact and exposure to germs. We are happy to consider any alternate or customized way of serving that suits the needs of your production.

All items will be packaged by one member of our catering crew. This will include items for both breakfast and lunch. We’ll be moving forward with individual portions for drinks as well. Anyone that would like reusable silverware will be taken care of by request.

All tables and chairs will go through sanitizing before and after each meal. We will continue to set out our tables and chairs with sanitized linens.

Tables will be set up to accommodate social distancing. We realize that no two productions are the same, and we will work with you when space is limited. We will be opening a half hour before our RTS time to accommodate production to break anyone available for an early lunch, in the hopes to spread the crew out comfortably.

Each member of our catering crew has their individual role in the kitchen, hence they will be working only within their prep and refrigeration space. All refrigeration and oven handles will have designated personal contact points to eliminate cross-contamination.

At the end of each day we will continue to contact the Hollywood food coalition and donate all remaining food. The transfer of food has been adapted, and now we’ll provide our own receptacles to ensure minimal contact. The handover of food will now take place at our commissary.

Fresh Start Catering is committed to these additional steps to provide a safe catering environment. We welcome your ideas and appreciate your time and help as we navigate through this unprecedented time together. We can’t wait to see you on set!

Thank you!
Fresh Start Catering Management
